The term, "Low Self-Esteem" (LSE), is bandied about a great deal. What does it mean, and how do you know if you've got it? You've got it if: - Life happens to you
- You lack direction
- You can't express your desires / needs
- People take advantage of you
- You are always giving and never getting
- You play a 'Victim' role
- You procrastinate
- You live with fear or anxiety
- You are indecisive
- You are depressed
- You are angry
- You are arrogant
- You are impatient
- You are aggressive
- You are lonely
- You are concerned about what others think of you
- You fear intimacy
- You are egotistical
- You are selfish
- You engage in self-destructive behaviour
- You are a high achiever
And so it goes....
Some of the above may come as a surprise. Most people think that high achievers, arrogant, angry, aggressive people have HIGH self-esteem. Not so. Basically, there are only two emotions: LOVE and FEAR. If you're operating in the latter, your self-esteem is low. High self-esteem comes from love (the absence of fear). It is often felt as a deep serenity - the ability just to be. Please remember - you are a human being, not a human doing. Question: Have you ever met a newborn baby with low self-esteem? Nope, neither have I. We are not born like it - WE LEARN IT! I am currently working on a free report which explains the process more fully and how hypnotherapy can help.
